Legg-Perthes' Disease
SYMPTOMS, usually in a male child, may include pain in the groin, knee, hip
and leg and there may be limping.
CAUSES. There is less blood delivered to the head of the thighbone (femur)
because of an impairment of the blood flow. This may cause the thighbone to
deteriorate.
TREATMENT. Use of a brace and extended bed rest.
